First time: how it works
What happens, in the order you meet it.
A Macau sauna is not a massage shop with a room at the back. It is a building: wet area downstairs, lounge and restaurant above, guest rooms higher up, sometimes KTV. People stay three to six hours, not one.
So the thing first-timers get wrong is rarely “which venue”. It is when to go, how the price is built, and how long to allow.

The price is four layers, stacked
- Entry (dry sauna only): shower, baths, lounge, food, no room service. Around MOP 300–600.
- Tier fee: the list is split into tiers. The tier sets the room grade and the session length — this is the main cost.
- Extension: charged by the hour beyond the base time, MOP 300–800. Ask whether “one hour” means 60 minutes or 45.

Choosing a time
- 13:00–19:00 (cheapest): just opened, few people, softer pricing.
- 20:00–24:00 (busiest): the full selection and the best atmosphere, but rooms queue, especially Friday and Saturday.
- 00:00–06:00 (late): the crowd thins. Watch the closing times — the earliest shuts at 03:00, the latest at 07:00.
